If using a fixed Dish - Another option would be to try a larger dish, should increase the SNR, especially if using an Amp to raise the signal level. If using a motorised dish, make sure it's landing exactly on alignment.

I dont think the problem is dish related..i mean on the problem channels the snr goes from 76% to 0 then to 76 and so forth...

Problem not DISH at all. Change Tuner to an ALPS one with branded capacitors not the nameless ones which come with the clone DM from China

I have seen a link with new drivers which they say will fix weak tuner problems.

Where do i put new drivers?

I bought an ALPS tuner with branded capacitors, ?31, and after changing all HD channels are working. % has gone up from the 40% i was getting all along to 88%

But now have a bizzare issue. Sky Sports 1 HD is unwatchable, glitching every second. signal level is 58% on this channel alone. Why is it so? how may i fix it? I have 6 images and i have tried them all but stil the same, glitchy SP1 HD.

To all those having tune failed problems, find new or used ALPS tuner and problem is solved

if it glitches then that mean's it is a fake alps tuner

i have a real dm800 and having the same problem real alps tuner running nabilo v12 with bootloader 75 so is it just a flaw in the box

should the drivers be in .ipk format and then drop the .ipk format directly into the above mentioned directory?

I became MAD from my clone DM 800HD due to weak signal and Tune Failed - I changed the cable to good quality (it was with joints) and all LNB changed to new HD ready.

this is the one i got but from ebay signal on some hd channels was 84% jumped to 91% after connecting this.

I had similar issue on my clone dm800,, it was completely resolved by changing the Discq
i got new one installed, since then the issue is gone.

If it's a clone box then you could try the mod to fix it (Rev K and Rev J).

This fixed the problem of "TUNE FAILED" when trying to decode most HD channels. BBC HD already worked fine just most of the others as described above.

I had the same problem with a genuine DM800, some hd channels showed up as Tuner Failed. I re installed firmware and started installing things one by one and checking the channels, as soon as I scanned them they were back to normal, when I went to Sat Settings and installed Tony Hot, Nile, Badr settings, the probllem was back, so this tells me it has something to do with the Sat Settings Folders
