i had the exact same problem

i just put my box which is total original by the way as no hd channels would work on sky so i connected it to a sky fixed dish done a scan with network enabled got every channel put it back on motor works fine .

I have seen a link with new drivers which they say will fix weak tuner problems.

Where do i put new drivers?

Well the dream will not update to the new drivers,,,it has to be flashed with an image @the eternal flash with Kernel 2.6.18-7.4

the kernel has been changed to Kernel 2.6.18-7.4 fom .73 ,thus You can Update the Kernel only by Flashing a New Image a Kernel Up only is not Possible!

Some images has this kernel, like merlin Excalibur of 13/10/2010!

How long do you leave the channel when you click the HD channel, Cause if your on motorised set up could be the fact its turning to the degree, That's what mine comes up when i turn over, I leave 15 seconds then picks up signal.

Well I think no drivers or anything is needed. I had Tune Failed problem with 60% of Hotbird channels.
Cyfra HD channels were working and only Nova Multichoice Greece and Skyitalia and Skysport and some channels like Nat Geo had Tune Failed issue.
So what I did is going to tuner setting and as my config was Simple A/B/C/D I have Badr4/Nilesat/Hotbird6.7.8/Intelsat902 I changed it from Simple to advanced and restarted the box then I went back to tuner setting and changed it back to simple suddenly all channels with Tune Failed worked again SNR 59% AGC 86% and no glitching and no freeze.

that simply fixed the tune failed issue that I had even my DM800HD is a chinese clone with BL76 using Gemini 5.1 image.

I will appreciate much if each of you try my trick and see if it solves your tune failed issue as well or not.

also I need link for purchasing an original DM800HD PVR as some of you may knows a legit seller .

Thx batpower,

Changing to simple mode did the job.
btw., I also noticed that in simple mode my longitude&latitude coordinates were still default. This probably explained why I found stations that were on 13E (or maybe 16E) while scanning the 19E sat.
I did change the values in advanced mode, tho.
Could it be that the values in simple mode overrule those in advanced ?

Anyway, everything working again..

I had the same problem earlier now i cant even find any channel at all, not even my dm800 getting any satellites.. al though my dm500 works fine with the same satellites, may be the tuner is to blame.
