Choppy picture on Sky Sports 1 HD

    Hi guys,
Sly sports 1 HD is coming through choppy and pixalated on my DM800. This is also true for Sky Real Lives HD & Channel 4 HD which are coincidently on the same transponder.
The ecm seems fine (<0.300 secs).

Is anyone else experiencing problems, or can help me out?

      Thanks for the swift reply.
I've got a fairly long cable run which doesn't help, but the affected services are showing 83% snr, with others showing 72% and giving a strong reception, so a bit strange.

Are the in-line amplifiers effective for this problem?

Yeah, same problem here with those services as well.
i'm going to buy one of those in-line amps tomorrow to see if that makes a difference.

              Are these clone boxes ?

Been reading anf found there is a common problem on these where HD channels don't clear properly until the tuner has warmed up.
There is a mod being done

              Stolen from another source

For faulty Rev. K tuner remove capacitor C1 and insert a 1000UF (16V) capacitor at the marked points (details you'll find in the pictures)!

thanks for the link just bought one! one question, can you just plug the out end straight into the dreambox or do you need to split the cable to get best results ?

                    Hi all,

to second the question above can these be fitted straight into the back of the dreambox or are better results achieved by splitting the cable, if so where?

                    Thanks in advance.

                    Kev.

you cant plug it straight into the back of the dreambox
it wont fit as it has the same fitting
you need a short cable about 10inch with 2 f-plugs on
fit the short cable to the dreambox and the amp to the other end

                      see the pic
