Flashing Error

Is there any other method to get the box alive, apart from connecting a working box and swapping to the dead one, because i only know one other person locally who has an 800 and he had some probs with it so i don't want to ask him if i can borrow it because he's a shitbag .

I have now tried a combination of 3 pcs 2 laptops, windows 7, xpsp,1-3, endless ethernet leads, 2 null modems and different versions of dreamup. null modem alone and null and ethernet.
The furthest i get is when using enforcer, dreamup says "waiting for ok from box to upload" or words to that affect.
I think i'm royally ~~~~ed TBH ,but if there are any more suggestions i'll try anything, i've only had the ~~~~er a few weeks

Where did you buy it from m8? the seller should repair it for you out of curtsey even thou they are sold without warranty a good seller would help..

Got it from China. it has a 12 month warranty but i didnt think this would be covered as it's my fault for flashing the wrong image. Maybe it might be worh sending him an email if i dont get any more suggestions. That's is the risk when you buy from China.

I've been having a problem lately with my DM800 clone. For the past few days the screen on the tv goes blank for no apparent reason and i have to go through the connections and put it back to HDMI 3.The box itself seems ok so i thought it might be a problem with the tv. I tried all 3 HDMI ports and it was the same. It started getting worse today, going off every 30 mins or so. So i thought it may be a problem with the DVI cable or maybe the image.

I thought i'd narrow it down and start off with a different image. This is where my trouble really started. When i flashed the new image onto the box, i got the dreaded error CA not found.
I tried reflashing with Dreamup but Dreamup wouldn't recognise the box. I tried different versions of Dreamup with the same result.

I found a patched version of Dreamup and followed the instructions in this thread http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...a-error-70341/ and used the Enforcer programme.I don't get any error messages about the 2nd stage bootloader, in fact i don't get anything at all. When i click on the flash button i have to drop down from Dreambox images to Dreambox NAND images to find the clone images. When i click an image i get an error message saying file too big.
Any ideas ?

not had dealings with this box,but last bit of your post it mentions file too big,,i had this on i think it was either a dbox,or 500c black box from china, and renaming the image was my solution..i renamed it and it flashed ok,,may not help you but i thought its worth a mention

Mate yours is 100% faulty m8 my tut i made works 10000% i have fixed about 7 myself and many people have thanked me for helping them to fix over msn..!

If you want to be sure send it to me and i will fix it if it is only flash error

It's looking that way Bubbles I am going to buy another null modem tomorrow and try again, that way i have tried everything at least three times. Failing that, i do't know what to do, apart from email the supplier. Was lookin forward to the world cup in HD..... ~~~~ off ted before you say anything

i had the same prob with my dm800 got it from china in jan after a few nasty emails to them about fair trading they told me to sent it back to them.not done it yet still trying to fix it,still no luck

hope you get it sorted bulldog,i had a 7020 that i put a 500 image on,all it had was space invaders on it ,done me head in,thought it was bricked but somehow got a image back on it,and works fine in a m8s house now(dont live by the bulldog do ye) good luck

5 months worked fine for 3 months till i flashed it and ~~~~ed it up
