    Hi,
    On my DM 800HD PVR clone box(installed Gem 5.1, )E 1.6 SSL70, SIM 2,01),
it appears that my HD clear channels are not opening. What are the main reasons ?
How to try to get the HD channels opened ?
    Thanks in anticipation. Best Wishes.

I don't really think it is just down to signal strength, reason for this is I have a 1.2m and a minidish, when I set my system up I connected the DM800 to the mini dish and it glitched, installed an in-line sloping amp and sorted, but:

Messing about the other day I started getting glitching with the in-line and also when connected to the big dish, was doing my head in, and as the DM800 wasn't moving my dish I changed out the PSU for the one of my DM600 12v 3amp, glitching stopped straight away.

Now could it be that it stopped due to a reboot of box, or is the crappy PSU that comes with the DM800 to blame....

I have the same exact problems as yours (same channels) and did the same things you did (in line amp 8 cm away), but with dramatic different results: signal is totally gone on those troubled channels (SNR=0), the amp is attenuating the signal instead of amplifying it!!! What's happening?
