Jitter on only a couple HD channels

I've a dm800 clone running elite with cccam 2.1.4 and with all sports and movies on both sd and hd everything is fine but on espn hd it is jitter mad.

I havent tried other images but wonder is this something anyone else has experienced?

Make sure the amp you get is "sloping 13db to 18db"
Dont get a standard 20db one mate

I have to point out that a faulty batch of L3 tuners from 6/2010 and 7/2010 the in-line amp dont work with them and if yours maybe be one of them but you wont know till you fit the amp but im sure the seller will exchange for you if you have 1 of the faulty batch.. correct amp is here IN-LINE AMPLIFIER FOR DM800HD WITH WEAK DISH SIGNAL INC PATCH CABLE - ukdreamshop

If that still doesnt fix it, then your dish will need a little tweaking because thats what our problem was

Which way round doe the in-line amp go?
I assume the in goes to the dish end and the out goes to the rec?
Also where on the line is it best to place it. Near the receiver or the LNB?

                    Thanks

Hi new dreambox 800 clone owner here. Also had the glitching on the usual subjects on my Sky minidish. Tried a 13-18 inline amp which has fixed Sky Sports HD1 and 4HD (these were my main concern) but hasn't fixed HD channels for Syfy, ESPN, Disney, Discovery etc.

My SNR on HD channels is pretty low, on the HD channels that work fine:

                        sky news hd 43%
                        sky indie 36%
                        mgm hd 43%
                        history hd 48%
                        E4 hd

On the glitching channels that fluctuate +- 10 percent these are max figures:
                        Disney HD 34%
                        Discovery HD 36%
                        Syfy 35%
                        ESPN 34%

Nat Geo HD and Rush HD 30% no picture

My dreambox 500s has a 80+ signal but also has a few missing channels such as Euronews, Military history etc. I'm assuming my dish needs some additional alignment probably professionally done as my attempts seem to fix some SD channels and lose others.

So I'm asking, would a professional alignment restore the missing channels or will the box continue glitching on a few HD channels?

                        Cheers

                        Mark

Tried experimenting with the length of cable required to add the in-line amp. When I introduced a longer cable (2 feet) the glitching was re-introduced. I then tried a shorter cable (8 cm between DM800 and in-line amp) and this has removed glitching across all channels. ESPN, Syfy and Disney HD all working as intended.
