      ip problems

Hi, I would suggest setting up home server, first put both c lines on box 1,

On box two enable dhcp and restart.

On box 1 create c line and f line to share.

The c line should include your ip, C: 192.168.3.4 1200 test test.

send c line to box 2

save f line in box 1

restart cccam and all should be working.

      Keep us informed....

Ups, I have never tried this before, hope I can find out how to do it. And I don?t think my supplier of C-lines will accept sharing even if I have payed for 2 lines. My idea was to take the mac-adress from the DM500 and put it in the DM800 no2, but I don?t know how to do it???

          Are you using wireless?

That might be the problem, your wireless access point, or router, may have MAC security set up to ensure that only devices with the MAC address in your rules can connect. If the MAC addresses on the DM800's are the same then they will both be unable to connect at the same time, even if you set up different IP addresses, it depends how your router or access point feels about it.

try set your DM800 No. 2 to

          IP Address 192.168.2.10
          Netmask 255.255.255.0
          Router Address 192.168.2.1
          Primary DNS 192.168.2.1
          Second DNS 194.239.134.83

As mentioned it might be your wireless that is secured by MAC address. If that is the case you may need to change the configuration of your router, probably under a section called access control which will contain the MAC addresses of your DM800 No.1 and DM500S.

And now for those non English people...

Exactly, this is the problem (I am danish). My router is a DELL Truemobile 2300. My problem is that I am not a specialist in router. Everytime I try to fix a problem with a router I always destroy more than I fix.

OK then the best hope is to change teh MAC address of the second DM800.

This link indicates how to do it, but I have never tried it myself. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Damned, I think I got it to work with method no2 after I changed manually the ip adress on receiver no2 and set DHCP to "off" on no2 receiver. For the moment they both works perfect. Let us hope it will continue. Thanks to all which helped me.
