yeah I just chose strong TPs off my box that I knew were ok as channels are liable to change TPs sometimes. you must have nearly all the available sats now.

      yea getting there!

in hindsight, looking back i didn't connect the f connectors properly which obviously caused a problem with the signal.
i assumed that the cooper wiring thats on the outside could be cut off, but i was wrong, that needs to be left on and pushed back with the f connector pushed over it, if that makes sense

also didnt help that the stb wasnt functioning with usuals properly, so the motor was fine all along, was a problem with the stb.

the ?10 sat meter worked out to do the job, so all in all so far so good.

yeah you need that screen wire as the negative feed you trapit between the f-plug and the outer insulation(as you have now found out)

                hey peeps,
i've had the motor up since i made this thread,
and i've noticed some rust on it already, is that normal?
                so soon?

anything i can do to prevent this or try to control it?

p.s the rest of the setup dish etc seem fine

Hi. I have a TM2600 motor on a TM5400 SUPER. The motor is superb and very reliable and accurate. When you say the motor jerks is it tightened up properly? As already mentioned if using DISEQC( or 1.2) you need to find the sats manually and save the positions otherwise the motor will just stay there without moving. With USALS the satellites are found automatically as long as the first satellite is set up correctly.

Hi. The rust is quite common on motors because of the rain etc. I put a sainsbury plastic bag around over the top of the motor to keep the rain out and replace the bag every 3 months or so. Regards.
