hi have just got my first tm 5402 hd which i only want to use with my viasat sweden card, noticed people talking about viasat, can anybody tell me how to pair up the box and card in a easy how to do as new to this. thanks

It sure does , don't need to pair box/card either.

Do you not need to use the serial number though of original box & put that in the TM5402 ?

This was the case last year unless the latest software allows the TM5402 to read the card without the serial number.

If you look around the internet you will get a lot more use out of your TM5402 than just getting a Viasat card to work.

Hi again. All up and running. The ten digit boxkey is entered as a decimal number not Hex. Then disconnect from the mains, reconnect and hey pressto it works.
I have also been informed that the stay alive signal is transfered to the card so will keep you informed on this.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do I find the menu for entering boxkey etc. for a Sky card into a TM5402.
Set up two ofthem yesterday for a friend running BISS key for PLTV and also reading Tring cards and Al Jaz cards automatically.
Being able to read his Sky card too would save a lot of faffing about changing his tvs to rf distribution and getting a lousy picture, he could stay on the hdmi distribution I fitted and get the best out of it.

You don't need boxkey though, it's the actual serial number of the sky box itself & it should be the 1st ten digits.

Boxkey doesn't work in TM5402.

Just follow Manic's guide & enter serial number.
