Hi, could you please tell me where is the option to check the fan is on/off? Can't find it....
I have another question please, how many programs can I record at the same time under the same transponder? Can I watch another channel meantime? I have tried recording 2 programs under same transponder but the screen went black and box froze displaying a number 8 on the box round digital display. When I tried to record 3 programs at the same time , the box asked me to cancel one?
Many thanksComment

and you can record a channel and watch an other as long as it's on the same transponder while recording press okay and the channellist will apear all de dark displayed channels you can watch at the same time all grey displayed channels you can't.
you could check the fan in front display setting the option to turn it on/off used to be there with older patches but i don't see it any more with the newer patchesLast edited by thijs; 1 December, 2012, 13:23.Everything discussed on this forum is for experimental and educational purposes only. To stop your tm 5402, go back to firmware 1.17, I had a few people with 5402's freezing on 1.20, and since I went back to 1.17, I haven't had a single report of a box locking up.
Personally, my own 5402 seems to be running very well on 1.25, trial and error I guess.Comment

I am running firmware 117 on my 5402hd box after having problems with the other firmwares and just lately my box has started freezing up where I have to turn it off at the back. I think its a overheating problem as its generally freezes when the heating is on and my tv cabinet is situated near a radiator. I did have my fan switched off because it was kinda noisy but have it back on for now. 117 has been the smoothest running firmware for my box though.Comment
