you need to use a programme on pc to format to fat 32 , i use swissknife v3 , then plug into box and your box should reconise it , wont need to format in box

i tried that & my box then recognises it & when i set a programme to record it says on the timer it will record but it never actually does. for example i set wwe raw to record at 1am & the next day when i checked it wasnt on the file list at all...

It needs to be fat32 or it will defo not work.
            what patch are you on.
Patch 126 has a pvr bug if on 126 try 127 here Download center
Make sure when patching to backup channel list and do factory reset before and after patch and put back channellist and rescan.

In the disk manager menu did you try the test function
Is your EXt. HDD of good speed.
When you connect it back to your tm make sure to go into the disk manager menu and when you leave that menu save the changes even if you did not change anything this will mount your HDD

not good m8 that HDD might not work so on your tm .
Try formatting it again in the disk manager menu if that does not work you will have to get a different ext. HDD i'de say.
