TM F3 / 5 Recording Problem

When I record on the TM F3/5 the picture quality is good but for some reason the audio drops. On the recording there is no audio and if you view the channel there is no audio. I have loaded the latest patch and still having the same problem. Can anybody please advise me on what I might be able to do to rectify the problem. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Perhaps a bit more info would help.What level of patch software do you have?Have you always had this problemi,ie from new?Does it happen on fta channels?Have you checked the audio setting during play? Cheers Mark

Thank you for the response. I have only recently got the box and it was working fine on the recording side. I only have FTA channels and not had this problem before. I have installed the latest patch 114p 24 03 2014 to see if this cured the problem and it didnt. I have checked the audio volume, there is nothing. Once you stop recording a channel you then have to change from the prog you were trying to record to another in order to get the sound back.
I have done a factory reset and reloaded everything and still the same. It may be that I have reloaded the problem with the files I am using. Hopes this makes it a little clearer. Once again thank you in anticipation.

Good point,on the files being a possible cause.I'd load only the original software,then do a reset and start from that point .ie scan a satellite and check.Cheers Mark

Guys where is the best place to buy a Technomate TM F3/5, i do not like buying on ebay so I have seen one here, it that a fair price or will i get it cheaper elsewhere ?

I dont think it matters if you buy off Ebay or pay more from a Sat TV shop there are no Clones of this receiver about so any bought must be Genuine.

When you say you have issues with the sound which satellite are you recording from and which FTA channels

I am recording from IS 27.5W and 28.2 through a dyseque switch and it is the same on both satellites. I have only the FTA channels that are available on both sats.

Have you tried a different patch on the receiver to see if that clears the issue

Thanks for the reply, have done a factory reset and tried the latest patch, I am assuming it may be a faulty box.

Yes,I'd go along with that.Have you tried another disk?But that would be strange as well.Am pretty certain that if you've tried fresh software load with a factory reset,which you have,then it's the box.Good luck.Cheers

Hi, I have F3/5 and 5402 boxes and have the same problem on the F3/5, the 5402 is better at recording but still awkward, on the F3/5, if you flick up a channel ten back the audio comes back on, then don't forget to watch the recording on the same channel as the recording, complicated isn't it!!

Hi, I have F3/5 and 5402 boxes and have the same problem on the F3/5, the 5402 is better at recording but still awkward, on the F3/5, if you flick up a channel ten back the audio comes back on, then don't forget to watch the recording on the same channel as the recording, complicated isn't it!!
