technomate website showing update version to 704 with a list of software improvements? but no explanation of what each of these are for(some may be self explanetry) can someone help? cheers

The readme file says:

1-Do backup by USB or save as default in factory reset menu
2-do factory reset/turn off from rear for 30 seconds
3-restore your channels ..if problem do fresh scan

if you are refering to downloading softcam! you win need winzip or winrar to extract the file. also a few more posts.
