Problem with TM600 or hard disk ?

I used an USB drive to connect to the front USB port. Then recorded a program, after that disconnected the drive.
Another day I was watching a program, while receiver was running I connected the USB drive and it said I had to format it ??

I am not sure where the point is pointing too, but it's a motorised setup and I can see 1 West and 19.2E and 28.2E Sky, but not sure which others I Can get ?

You can get most of what`s up there with your size of dish. You can get the Astras @28 deg. E. Hotbird @13 Another Astra @19e thor @1de. W and more. Depends on what youre looking for. You can check out sat. info. @ lyngsat or @ Flysat.Depending on the type of sat. receiver you have, you may be able to open encrypted channels as well . Good luck.

                usb stick

when using usb stick its always worth the effort to use branded sticks like kingston and or scandisk.. they are reliable and do not fail like some unbranded cheap junk

Just a (silly ?) question, what would happen if I chose a satellite out of reach. Would the motor still try to get the satellite and damage anything ? Or would motor just stop after it's reached the most eastern and/or western position it can get too ?

Sorry, but I`m on multiple lnb`s. Don`t know much about the motorised set-up other than to say that the commands from the receiver will control dish movement.

the motor will move to any satellite on your list but wont open all of them, as you may need a bigger dish for better signals.

Set the limits in motor settings tos top dishing go any further than the sats you can reach.

You can look on Satellite Finder / Dish Pointing Calculator with Google Maps | DishPointer.com to get an idea of what satellites you can recieve. I think sometimes it's a little off thou in my case. Click on "All available satellites and estimated dish sizes for your location"
