Problems with motorised TM-5200D USB Super

    Hi everyone.

I got a Technomate receiver in August or so and I've only just got to install it properly. It's attached to a 90cm motorised dish and it's only receiving Freesat OK. The other satellites appear not to be receiving what they ought to.

For example, Nilesat has quite a weak signal - as I expected, living in the Welsh marches - but one of its transponders keeps spouting out some Polish channels (signal quality is 90% but level is 50%) that should be on Hot Bird, as I checked out on Lyngsat. It appears that Hot Bird channels are being unusually distributed on other satellites even though they shouldn't.

Also, most of the other satellites appear not to have a good enough signal level. Mine is a Ku band 90cm dish, so I shouldn't have much trouble receiving them.

It was installed by my dad, who - admittedly - is an absolute amateur. Should I send in the professionals or is it an issue I can remedy personally ?

    Many thanks in advance.

It facilitates both DiSEQc (sic ?) and USALS and I can't get anything on 1W, let alone BBC World. I haven't made out an exhaustive list but I noticed that four or five Turksat 42E channels were saved under 19,2E, which of course shouldn't happen. When I tried tuning it in correctly, 28,2E channels were repeating themselves on 26E, 19,2E and 23,5E, e.g. BBC 1 was appearing on 28,2E and 19,2E.

      I am terribly confused. !

My dad's just had a look at your picture and he said it's upside down ! I suppose it's my fault because I gave him a rough drawing of what the system should look like based on this picture:

Obviously not a good idea ! Thanks for your help though.
