Hi, sorry to ask what may be obvious, I would like to get footie possibly on thor but patched with the official Technomate patch VER689 and used a recent softcam file but don't seem to be getting anywhere what is the difference between those patches and the ones listed here? I have TM6800 HD (non super) and 90cm motorised, any help please.

official software is no good for softcams. you need patch 690p which can be found in the stickies along with the latest softcam patch 1st then softcam then digi tv will open at 1West.(do not use patch 691p its faulty)

hi, newbee alert - i've read this whole thread and several others and have come to a stop.
I have a TM6800HD super +, ive updated it with the following file "Magicpatch-TM6800HDSuper-05-03-2010_721p.stb" via my usb stick - loads ok, restarts. but i still dont get the 8281 menu. I have enabled DHCP and its connected to my router ok and has a IP address and i can ping the TM box from another pc on my network, so i know the ethernet is up. any ideas cheers.

Many thanks for that, I'm a newby to all this much appreciated. I presume you do not need the loader if using USB. Have Technomate 6800HD.

                    • Download the relevant patch and extract.
                    • Download the relevant loader and extract.
                    • Connect your receiver to the pc via rs232c cable.
                    • Choose the correct com port.
                    • Leave the receiver on standby.
                    • Open the loader and select the software tab.
                    • Press browse and find the extracted patch.
                    • Press ok then start then wait.

This will take a few minutes. Thats it. The same things need doing for softcams but make sure you use the keys tab. Everything else is the same.

                    USB, By Benny/9

FIRST ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU USE THE CORRECT PATCH FOR YOUR MODEL
there are various models and only the correct patch will work or even load on your model
                    ************************
                    • Download the correct patch for your receiver.
                    • Open the zipped folder and take the patch out ready to transfer the patch onto your usb memory stick.
                    • Insert your usb memory stick in the usb port under the front flap.
                    • Turn the receiver on ready to load the patch then press the usb button on your remote.
                    • on the next screen go to data transfer and click>OK.

now you will see a panel with the patch on it, it will highlight, [for patching].
press ok on the highlighted patch then it will load and when it gets to 100% and has loaded, and the receiver has re-booted [turned off and on again] and the channel opens, remove your usb memory stick. you have now loaded the patch and your channels will now open.
                    ***************************
you also load softcams/channel lists/official software etc:in exactly the same way by selecting
the item you want to load.
                    ****************************

Note: if scrambled channel appears on channels which should open; wait a few minutes. This will enable the auto update to kick in.

Hope this is found helpful. Sadiq999uk and Benny/9

                        Hello Jack-pot & Benny,
I am a newbie and I need to patch & install soft cam on my Technomate TM-7100 HD box to open up channels. I have installed a motorized 1 metre Orbital dish and I can view a number of Satellites. However lots of channels are scrambled so I want to use my USB to install what I need for this Technomate 7100. You say it's important to get the right patch for the right box, but I can't see a patch for this box on the Forums.
Any help would be really appreciated.
                        KevD.

Hi, My mate and I both have a TM5400 CI+ Super and he lost Digi yesterday. The new softcam isn't making any difference, so he wanted to load the latest patch. Problem is, when he tries to upload the patch from the USB, it tells him it is an incompatible file. It was suggested to force an update, but the guide was based on a different TM receiver that had a menu button on the front (as it involved holding that while turning it on).

Can anyone help? I have thought about a factory reset, but of course he would lose everything?

As far as I am aware, it is only the Hungarian tier that has now gone N3 - the rest is fine - more importantly, mine is still clearing
