Noobs guide to patching your Technomate

hey im new the technomate system... i've currently bought a TM-500 super and i was wondering how i can set it up to watch pay channels

Pls which is the up-to-date patch for technomate tm 5402 hd? I just got a brand new and don't really know what to update to get the best it could offer.
Your step by step guide will be appreciated.

i have a technomate tm 3100d, i just cant get it to patch, downloaded all loaders that is possible, tried to patch it on my windows 8 laptop by Usb to rs232., desktop windows xp by rs232 to rs232, nothing seems to work, last loader i am using is : TM-3000 p-series v1.1.5.
Patch : TM-3100-200-300 series p-v2.43 22-01-2010

Hiya,
Just wanted to say thanks for the USB explanation - the manual is not the easiest document to extract useful info from. I managed to update the firmware with the official TM7102HDT2_115 without fuss.

I didn't see many 7102 related posts.. have I bought an unpopular receiver or is it SO good no-one has problems with it? (fingers crossed!)
