Hi guys, thanks for all the posts in here. I had the same problem with opening the zip file in explorer but as directed I used firefox instead and it did the trick. things can be easy if you know how!

the patch is the receiver official software that has had third party additions added to it in order to make it open some of the providers scrambled channels without the need for cards or cams the softcam is a key file that contains all the latest known keys in the file and is loaded to open any channels that the patch opens, after there has been a key change, if there are any major changes to the encryptions or the autoupdate gets knocked out a new patch is needed to fix this type of problem

I can't seem to get the latest patch for the Technomate 5400 super to download.
Winrar is telling me the file is corrupt?
All the others have worked ok. Any ideas?

Hi, i seem to be having problems still, i have downloaded and extracted the patch, i have installed it onto my tm6900 via front usb, i have tried to do the same with the softcam but i cant see it in the usb menu, what am i doing wrong? Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Hi guys, complete newbie here.
Just bought myself a technomate 5400 super, and I'm about to try patching it. From what I can gather, it seems to be a case of download the patch, and installing it, then downloading the cam updates, and installing them to?
I'm just sat here watching the F1 qualifying on the new kit, despite the mount being temporary (moving in a month, at short notice).....looks like I've got a bit of reading to do

if you turn your receiver on and on the remote
press>menu and go to system information>click>ok
on the second line down on the next panel s/w version
do you see the patch 6.74 and the date if you do the patch has
loaded, exit the menu and press menu again and this time go to
option>click>ok on this panel you should see serial mode OFF and
all the other lines set to ON if you do then exit the menu and load the
latest tm softcam this way download the softcam and remove it from
the zipped folder then transfer it on the memory stick ready to load
[that you have deleated all the other file from it] next turn the receiver
on and put the stick in the front usb port and press the usb button on the
remote and go to data transfer>click>ok now you will see the file panel
with the softcam on it just click>ok again and the softcam will load
[do not press any of the coloured buttons] when loaded your chns will
open try any digi-tv chn on thor 1w
