    TM-6800 HD Adding a channel

A very elementary question from a newbie. BBC have now added the BBC1 HD channel. How do I add it to my channel list?

      Hi Betas,
      Thanks for rapid reply.
Cannot quite enter the settings you suggest. The Advance Search screen shows:

      Satellite: 28.2E ASTRA2/Eurobird
      Transponder: [10] 10.847 GHz
      Symbol Rate: 22.000 MS/s
      Polarization: V
      Modulation: DVB-S2 8PSK
      Code Rate: 3/4
      Pilot: ON
      Search Type: All Channel
      Network Search: ON

      With these settings -
      Level shows about 83%
      Quality: 2%

If these settings are what you mean, so I then click Add TP?

      Regards
      Brian

            hi mate
just change your modulation to normal dvb-s
and then scan in should work fine on that

              Thanks thijs.
Should I change the Mod setting on the Advanced Search screen so it looks like:

              Satellite: 28.2E ASTRA2/Eurobird
              Transponder: [10] 10.847 GHz
              Symbol Rate: 22.000 MS/s
              Polarization: V
              Modulation: Normal dvb-s
              Code Rate: 3/4
              Pilot: ON
              Search Type: All Channel
              Network Search: ON

Having done that how do I set the scan going?

                no like this
                Satellite: 28.2E ASTRA2/Eurobird
                Transponder: [10] 10.847 GHz
                Symbol Rate: 22.000 MS/s
                Polarization: V
                Modulation: dvb-s
                Network Search: ON
                when you
go into your advanced search menu
or just do a complete scan it should come up in your channellist then too

                  Hi thisj
                  Thanks for your help.
Sorry to be so dumb but I still do not understand how I do the scan. If I change the settings in Advanced Search as you suggest which button at the foot of the screen do I select?
Also, how can I do a complete scan?
For a newbie the manual is quite unhelpful on this.

press the red scan button on the handset.to do a full scan go to the satellite setup menu make sure you have 28.2E astra2/eurobird on the top line press the red (scan) button on the handset in the pop up window put free in search type network search on highlight scan and press ok.
if you put all or tv in the search type you will also get all the encrypted channels.

                        Hi dick b,
                        thanks for your useful post.
Followed your instructions for a full scan. After the scan completed the window closed and returned me to the program screen.
Have examined the channels in Main Menu/move channels, reordering them by name, but there is no BBC1 HD. There is a BBC HD channel but this seems to the same one as in the original list.
Also, the list that displayed under EPG (which was reordered as I wanted the ones we watch at the top) does not seem to have changed. I would have expected the channels now to be ordered back to the original (channel?) order.
Anyway, would much appreciate your further help.

a full scan will not alter the order of your already scanned ones but will add any new channels to the end of the list.it is easy to move channels around using the edit channel menu.if you still cannot find BBC1HD while on full screen press ok then the yellow button(TP) scroll down the left side til you find 10.847 and BBC one HD should show on the right as well as BBCHD(6945) it may show as 6941 but you can change it in channel edit if you still cant find it do an advanced scan as outlined by thjis.I have one of these boxes and they are user friendly, and will look in tomorrow to see how you get on.
