how do I reset my Technomate TM5200D's remote control which doesn't seem to be working as I've changed the setting from type 1 to type 2. I was trying to get the text (red button) to work when I changed it. I know it was a silly thing to do,... but I still need help! Thank you kindly in advance for any usefull information.

The remote will always work even on remote type 1 or 2 to access the menu.
Make sure remote is working, use camera phone.
Aim camera phone at remote then keep pressing the remote, you should see flashing on camera phone if remote is functioning.Comment

Try holding down the OK button and the number "1" button on the remote together for more than 5 seconds, this works on my DVD recorder for changing remote type and may be worth a try.Comment

Do a forced download.Comment

1) Download latest patch for your model
2) unzip/unrar patch
3) Open Darkman loader 187
4) locate the file you have just downloaded
5) click connect
6) switch your reciever off at the back
7) switch it back on again
8) loading will start automaticaly
This may have to be done a few times till it actually loads but it will definately load and then all will be ok again.Comment

with most tm remotes pressing exit three times will reset it
