Recording Issues Vu Duo ViX 2.3 (Linux 3.1.1) 25-12-2011

I have had problems with recording since flashing with this image. Many recordings only have a playback time of 2 seconds for some reason although it shows the programme is recording for the whole duration. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas on a fix?

try using the newest set of hardware drivers as released by Vu to combat these recording problems.

Thanks RD, anyone else having the same problem should download 02-01-2012 drivers which should solve the recording issues.

I'm not sure there in the Public image just yet although it's a very easy process to FTP the drivers to the box then reboot and done. note however that these drivers are only for images running the 3.1.1 kernel as they wont work on older 2.6.x kernel images.

If you do a search for vu duo drivers 02-01-2012 on google and download and extract the file, you should have 3 files which you need to replace with the files in the following directory: lib/modules/3.1.1
Then restart your vu duo and you should be good to go, restarting may take an extra few minutes as mine did so be patient!

Am thinking of going back to my older 2.2 version (too many issues with 2.3. My 2.2 was rock solid and no problems......do i still need to use NEW bootloader?

i would say new bootloader is only for newer image,so thinking you may have to revert to older bootloader and older image.
get confirmation first off rd as you dont mess with bootloaders.

2.3 is solid m8, install kernel then reflash it, probably a plugin that's giving you grief :-)

the bootloader is fully backwards compatible with all images.

Would this mean it would be ok to save your installed sats and settings then relash. Please explain..
