right click on Finder on yer Mac, connect to server, type this in the address bar where it sais Server Address:
    smb://vuduo

it then ask if you are a guest or registered user, select registered, in username type root, in password type root, you should now see Harddisk and Root, select whatever one you want to go into.
Thats how I acess my Ultimo on my iMac m8.

I cannot change the settings in SAMBA SETUP . autostart is disabled . Current status is Stopped .

Green start button has no response

          Yellow Autostart has no response.

I am using the latest Vix image on an ultimo.

          Any ideas anyone ?

for some reason it suddenly went to " installing a service " and then it was working fine . Samba is now started and autostart is enabled.

I think it installs with the image again now, whereas b4 you had to manually download and install, I'm sure they put it back in the image, RD will tell you 4 sure m8.
