Yep, thats what I meant Digi.

So it'll be a few months yet before the prices really start to tumble - if at all.

So its a valid question - when are the new units out, as I'm happy to wait a while if the prices of the current stock (Duo or Ultimo) is likely to go down

if your in no rush then take a look at the vu+uno and when the twin tuner is released you will have a faster twin tuner box with better tuners for around the same price as the duo... as for the duo2 i cant see you getting much change from ?500 if you buy it on release, regards mdt

          Hmmm, not considered this.
So this Uno has room for a second HD tuner (cable, sat or terr) bit like the dreamboxes, and these tuners are being released soon? if so what est cost for the second tuner?

no blindscan does not auto update your channel lists, it does however allow you to scan a full satellite pulling in every thing thats broadcasting.

              not quite.

The uno has a single plug and play tuner slot in which you can fit a DVB-S2 or a combo DVB-T/C card. Vu however will soon release a DUAL DVB-S2 card allowing you to turn it into a twin tuner box.

Just been looking at spec of Uno.
Looking at the pics it seems to have single sat tuner with loop out as standard.
There's not a second gap in the backplate for another tuner, so what gives?
Are you likely to get a new backplate with the second tuner, or do you get a hacksaw to the backplate
Or is it just that you replace the standard tuner card for a new one with two tuners and lose the loop-out

Edit - Just seem RD's answer - sweet

The link you added to your post is for the single tuner with loop out, the twin tuner is not yet released.

                              Ah, OK - my bad
I made the mistake of trusting google. ooops

If I went down the route of getting genuine Uno or Duo, I am interested in adding usb DVB-T2 terrestrial HD tuner stick (ideally dual tuner) to the box.
So for instance if I purchased Uno I'd eventually have twin Sat tuners (when pluggable twin DVB-S2 card avail) + two DVB-T2 tuners via the usb stick.

Is this possible, and if so, what DVB-T2 tuner sticks are compatible with VIX or BH?
