Is it possible to reset the dish to 0 using the vu+ receiver? if so how?

ive tried going thro the plug in called positioner setup and selecting goto 0 but nothing happens?

possitioner set up>ok>scroll to go to and press red
the motor should then go to zero when it does press red again
and exit the menu. i have read that users with a dark motor have
had to do the above three or four times before it worked and the dish
moved to zero

right, my dish is completely set up facing south now. how can i easily tell if im picking up a signal? ie its take me ages slightly moving the dish, running back in the house and doing a service scan to see if its found any channels? is there an easier to search on the receiver or even at the dish? that service scan takes ages.

Apart from a Satellite meter i would try to hook up to a portable tv where you can see what your doing, saves running in and out like a blue arsed fly.

the dish is sitting perfectly vertical and facing south, when i try and scan 28.2 the dish sorta turns into the ground so to speak. that arc thing looks so weird and off.

just a thought have you set the correct elevation
on the motor scale, and if you have set it to due south
the mount with the dish/motor etc must all be turned on
the pole to 1w and then tweek for the best/strongest signal,
