        Beginner on VU+ Duo

New to this although I have used the DB for several years. Have installed the latest version of VIX and followed the instructions to ftp CCcam onto box.
I have ftp'd the CCcam.config into ETC on the box and I can see it through the DCC.

Not sure how to install the cam on the VU+ Duo box.
Have read throuh some of tutorials but just need a bit of an extra pointer.
Is it Softcam or plugins section or am I going off at a wrong tangent????

        Many Thanks..

          google, enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk,
once downloaded transfer it to the temp folder on your vu duo.
Go to the vix menu on your vu duo, look for install manager, you will see the enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk file showing up on your tv screen, select install, enable it to automatically start, reboot, thats you.

            still not sure!!!

            hi,
            downloaded and ftp'd to
            temp-> var/volatile/...

can only see image manager and install local extension in VIX menu, but neither are showing the CCcam

Is that the right place I have put them or am I miles off the mark?????

            Cheers

your receiver is enigma2 and as such some of the file systems have changed from the earlier enigma1 boxes so do as dell has said.

Beware! For all new Div images you must update the bootloader first to run the new Kernel. The latest version as of this post is here

If you fail to update the bootloader correctly the box will brick and there is not fix for it yet!

yes in dells defense when he wrote the tutorial neither the bootloader nor the linux 3.1.1 kernel were available for this receiver. This while regrettable could have been avoided by asking a few questions before flashing the receiver.
