    Default serial adapter

    hi guys got a eurovox max v tryin to flash through usb with serial adapter get message waiting for box to respond for 10 mins its asking wot com set it to 1 its the only one that works any ideas please can flash it normally with null modem cable but i havent got the right connection on this pc

    i have the same problem cant get com port to anything other than 3 or 4 any help greatly appreciated.

    I had a problem like this too, the way I dealt with it was to go into device manager on your computer and change the com number manually from there. Just go to the com in dev mngr and select properties and then go to advanced and manually change the com number. Hope this will help you.

    i have had no luck i ended up buying a pcmcia card that worked great cost 50 quid from maplins though

    Bought a USB to RS232 lead from eBay for a couple of quid. Installed the drivers that came with the item, and then changed the COM port from 'COM 4' to 'COM 3', and voila - everything worked just fine!
