This is only a guide not all transponder's will be received if you are outside the intended coverage of a satellite,

Under poor weather conditions a larger dish size will be required for satellites not intended for your region if you are outside the normal footprint reception cannot be guaranteed, this information is given in good faith no responsibility can be taken by this site or the compiler of this guide.

JaCkPoT,a lot was learnt from me @ alsat & footprint guide.I did the feeds section before william 1.william done a nice guide over the clark belt. What a lot dont understand is when it comes to transponders is,on bird like 16 east alone dish size go up or down.I know transponders that will need up to a 1.8 dish on this bird,if wether is over cast. Some birds are better in the south & others better in north uk to view.

Firstly go for a dreambox, bit more technical, a lot more advantages, i personally wouldnt go for more than 1M as you will get a fair wack with that, only missing a few satellits out. plus if you go to big you require planning permission.

TM500/600 better than dreambox 500/600 in my opinion and I ahve had them as well as eagle receiver.

Yeah the TM500/600 are quite good being honest, they are stable which is more than the Azbox, however Dream is much better supported.

Plenty of support for TM but agread excellent support for dream. But if the image works then theres only so many extras you need. Tm have UR team and DS tema support as well as modified DB images.

I was looking at the tm 5400CI+Super and 1m motorised package for?209 but now im looking at Dreamboxes !

Silly question but how heavy is a motorised dish & motor ?
