the clio you did does car prog have an adaptor plug?
    yes,no problem
the 908 programme was an extra for doing dashboard 908`s for example. [I assume its on the clone anyway]. But for airbag module`s with 908 it will do them a treat.

ref the clio, I made my own adapter plug,I think there is a schematic on the carprog website

    yes sorry, motorola 908.

When doing audi TT faulty dash, the carprog TT repair function rewrites the flash into the 908 with the correct variant of sw.

BUT, the problem a lot of the time is the 908 is knackered so needs replacing.thats why I bought the 908 programme, but realised it was better to use an etl , then realised it was essential to use a proper zif socket, the hinged variety, not the push-the-micro-in variety. At that time it was very difficult to source a decent zif socket, eventually direct from Japan.
Now you can buy the inferior adapter from most sites.

Having said all that, I dont repair TT dashes anymore.....couldnt be arsed!

Don't forget to use special lead that swaps the pins around.

Do you know about the eezy hooks http://www.warwickts.com/ great guy

He will also make custom leads but has a lot of leads on file he already makes other customers.

    Worth a look.

Be careful, some members think being helpful is advertising

Yes thanks, I have known Steve at Warwick Test Supplies for many years, gave him schematics of most probes for diga,dp3,enigma etc.

Any member who doesnt know of this company should root it out without delay!

I find after 6 months or so, a few hooks fail, then another set arrives, its probably my rough treatment, although I do use them with plug in adapters.

I dont have any obd stuff for carprog as I have other tools for that. It is mainly airbags and 908, although I also have an Ultraprog which I find very good for airbags.

    ULTRAPROG

Just admit how many times your ultraprog fails to clear the airbag correctly.... I didn't check all of them, but it turns that there are not only a few airbags which was not clreared ok.

Carprog: tried that matra siemens airbag from espace over connector, and it was not working.

    Actually I cant complain!

I dont do a lot of airbag modules, probably only about 20 a week as my main thing is mileage correction.
For airbag modules, I use a mix of carprog, ultraprog and upa with my database.
To be honest, I couldnt remember which tool did or didnt succeed! I just do the bloody things and get the money.

I suppose I must have less enthusiasm about the whole job than anybody.

I just do it for the money.

    ps
I find ULTRAPROG easier to contact and get help off, than any other tool manufacturer I have.

    ON TOPIC:
So you dont like Arthurs adapters being mentioned and Ultraprog being mentioned.
    Anything else I musnt say?

    OFF TOPIC:

ps Whats haram, a make of wine?[only kidding, I was reading the Quran in 1973 when residing in Tehran!]
What year did you start reading it?
I always thought haram was the bit about living upstream of the shite put in the river, he he. poor sods who could only afford to live downstream had to drink shitty water.

Although seem to remember something about it when I visited the Blue Mosque in Istanbul in the early 70`s, think it was a prayer room. [ I have got a picture of me in there!]

and the carprog fails to do some! [original ], but hey, we dont live in a perfect world, thats why you need several programmers and a large dataset library.
