I have a similar experience...


If use the version VCDS 21.9 with the Loader 9.2 all works fine and the licence of VCDS keep to valid /activated during and after some test and clear DTC codes.


But if use the version VCDS 22.9 with the Loader 9.2 the licence change from to valid /activated to invalid/blocked when start a dashboard-instrument test o clear DTC code of any modules.


My interfaces has Atmega162 and my car is a VW year 2000


I do not know how to use the new VIIPlusLoader-08.022.09.003.
I installed and run it. When the software is start, detected the version of VCDS 22.9 but say "no device connection is detected. data read is failed. Starting software (not ensure the SW is correct)"
May be this "VIIPlusLoader-08.022.09.003" solve the issue.?


Is possible to explain how to use the VIIPlusLoader-08.022.09.003. correcly?

I read a lot of old post about this VIIPlusLoader but is not very clear for me how to use..

You have an ATMEGA interface, you need to use Kolimer loader.

VIIPlusLoader is for STM interface, HEX-V2 version. It will not work on ATMEGA interface.

hello! I need your help. I whant to install VCDS in Italian VCDS ITT and I have 2 problems:
1. If I install the last software 22.3.1 ITT I can not open because ask me for licence(see the attach pict.)
2. If I try to install older softer 21.9.0 ITT told me that it is an older software and I must install the latest one.(see the attach 22.3.1_IT_Error.jpg21.9.0_IT_Error.jpg pict.)
I need a valid fix solution. thanks.

Viiplus loader has different version for itt, ptt, est.
Did you use that?

Or your cable has atmega162 inside? This is not guessing forum.

It IS a guess if you don't tell which hardware you use (genuine or not, V1 or V2, with language(s) is licenced in hardware) and which software (modified or not). I guess kaalis read your message, but you have to provide more information, if you want help.
My 1st guess: if you use original software and a non-genuine cable, you get a message about missing licence.
My 2nd guess: turn back the computer time if you want to install older version.

Did you try to install 22.3.1 Italian version? Original version direct from Ross Tech Italy. If you can install, when you press double click on vcds.exe the software dont run(check the attached foto). you dont need interface to open vcds.exe! You need interface to activate and to scan a car...but it is a long way until this step...because the software vcds.exe it is NOT OPENING(all vcds software after install, when you press vcds.exe must run the software/not tested one/ but must open)...It is irelevant whan interface I have... My question was strictly about the software 22.3.1 Italian one, Original one... You understand now? In 10 min you can test and see...
And for 21.9.0 ITT Yes I have changed the date and the same error...It is not opening vcds.exe because told me tha the software it is old... In this case I dont know nothing about the software if is original or not...
My questions was simple about this two version of softwares 22.3.1 ITT and 21.9.0 ITT ONLY FOR / IF SOMEBODY HAVE TESTED / USE ITALIAN VERSION TO ANSWER! 22.3.1 AND 21.9.0. Thanks22.3.1_IT_Error.jpg21.9.0_IT_Error.jpg

For last version VCDS.exe is signed by Detlef, not by RossTech, like usualy.
That don't tell you nothing?
If install with antivirus running, never install. Because VCDS.exe appear like a virus. Why? Because that Detlef modified VCDS.exe and VCDS Installer (made 3 in 1, ITT, ESP, PTT)

Checking license seems like OPCOM (first read the FTDI and verify the license and after launch the app). This is in ITT. In ROJ and EN no need to have cable to USB.

After install, no "Uninstall.exe" in folder, is a joke of global installer made by..that Detlef

Vcds.exe shows incompatible windows version if process monitor is run in background.

Actually vcds.exe process starts just fine, but you don't see actual vcds main window because ITT (probably EST and PTT also) they want to see your cable is genuine.

How to get past it?
Wait for a new Kolimer loader... nobody knows when next Christmas will come for us (don't ask, I don't know) or use VIIplus loader made for ITT/EST/PTT depending on hardware.
Or use older vcds without those checks.

Kolimer Loader if we will spoke after 100 years will be also 9.2
VII PLus Loader last 2 or 3 have bugs for English Software Dont Accept Security Acces On Engine 27971.
21.3.0 ITT it is working well with this last beta Loader VII PLUS 08.022.09.003 / If you have other Loader or a Loader special for ITT please send me a link to test-it with 22.3.1 ITT. ARM405 and ARM429.

Anyone could confirm that latest loader does have a working security access on modules? 22.1 gives a failed security access .
