I went to buy the carprog for airbag, and then I saw in the page original that covered for inmo etc,

but want to know how you will you the original, the carprog, and which you have your?.

I to me what interests me is to read and write and you can access the eeprom and flash micros motorolla mcu (hs912, hc908 6811), and if it is able to reset and read airbag units all.

works well the original carprog, there are schemes of as pinear, there is good support for query

yesterday in the Forum saw the clonico (carsung) the same machine but more complete. But there is doubt, and cheaper and being Chinese

MB W203 2006, can't conect via OBD, on table ok, Opel Meriva 2007 works, but not full erase, need additional work, BMW E39, OBD can't do, must remove from car ( many work ). On table ok, but after some time go to " internal error " ! Audi OBD not work, can't connect ....
EDC16 can't do. CAN not work on Opel, tested on Vectra C. MPPS read ok. CAN not work on PSG16, K line is OK, but not all ECU, some times can't read PIN and can't reset ECU. I think lost PSG16, after reset: Bosh HW not ok.
VW Passat 2008 km change OK, immo only FF!

I have clone carprog, it seems to work ok on most airbag stuff i have a list of what i have done(suzuki swift,honda civic with TMS320 ect ect , not tryed it on any mileage jobs yet but will be trying it , i ended up with it from china for nowt after buying some other shit for a few garages round near me so it just got added on top of the bill :P , I also think its best to buy original but not all people have the money to so as a starter tool is not so bad , i been told that TULGEYWOODMAN drives round in a lambo, so he could probably buy us all a original one ;)

few things doesnt work (mileage calculators) and after a few user start a count down from 250 uses even when chinesses claim its not going to lock im on 171 right now will find out on the rest works flawless 4.1 version
Even original have this count down if you don?t connect the computer with carprog to internet, you can use it 250 offline but later you have to connect it to internet.

They kept my broken one and supplied me with a brand new one delivered for about ?100. As carprog freely show you schematics of the cables, I thought it was better to make your own rather than buy chinese versions

You right, can read correctly only one version of PSG16, with PIN in 0x68C and 0x68D address, but others versions of PSG16 PIN you can read in dump, its in about 0x680 line and seems like 31 32 33 34, PIN is 1234. In this PSG16 you can reset ECU with Op-com manually, by entering correct PIN.

You haven't a clue what your on about..

you've got 45 days to open a claim with paypal which you are protected against non-receipt.

If they aren't any help you've got 180 days under VISA rules to file a chargeback which you will win 100% if you've received nothing. and also are very likely to win if you've received a sh*te item and you've returned it.

Lets not try to twist the truth because you've got issues with clones and I dont think anyone says originals aren't better.

if you are talking about the TT 2j74y then the answer is no, because the immo is in the 912, this reads the 908
BUT........ it wont write a new eeprom, only the flash [most of the variations], you may find that you have only got flash without eeprom !
BUT...........it may be the micro that wants changing as well as the flash, believe me , I have done hundreds of them, thankfully I dont anymore.

Also, you may need to replace the fuel and temp motors.

Well I dont think you will be able to do it by obd!

If you cant.............. pull the cluster out and go to the test points
15 mins total job

To take cluster out [rh drive]

pull out top of panel below steering wheel

on left side, pull out easy, to reveal 1 x torx 20,remove, [may be concealed by leather apron]

on right side, pull out top of panel and wedge 25mm spacer to reveal torx 20,remove.

pull out bottom of cluster, release metal springy tabs at top, pull out cluster and disconnect 2 or 3 plugs [depending on model]

remove torx holding back panel of cluster, remove apron, split cluster, refit pcb into front of cluster to avoid damage to faces whilst programming.[TIP: move fuel and temp needles to max position before fitting front, to avoid trapping needles].
programme mileage using test points.

Reassemble cluster, [noting above TIP of positioning fuel and temp needles to max position].
Refit....get money....go to pub:D

Theres a hand full of original tools, but there is about a million clones, i don't understand, version 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc.. the only clones im keen on is diagnostic tools, bmw scanners etc. they seem to work lovely.
