Hallo Guys.



I have one problem. I have Galletto 2 China clone - black box ?v50?.


Since now I have test it on:
EDC17C46 Tricore boot mode ***8211; work r/w OK
EDC17C14 Tricore boot mode ***8211; work r/w OK
EDC17CP14 OBD ***8211; r/w OK
EDC16U34 OBD ***8211; r/w OK
EDC16U1 OBD ***8211; r/w OK
EDC16U1 BDM ***8211; r/w OK
EDC16U34 BDM ***8211; r/w NOT WORKING


So you can see is working quite good. It covers me EDC17 ECU-s and for this purpose I have also buy it.


It is just annoying that the EOBD2 soft is not running under Win XP. I have only managed to run it under Win 7.



The problem is that I use Win XP on my working laptops.


If I run the soft in Win XP I get EOBD2 crash error and behind this the FGT2xx.dll not found. I have already try to make lots of things, like manually delete drivers and reinstall, different accounts, different FTDI Dumps,***8230;


Please post replay if you have any idea.

If I dont plug the dongle I get error "dongle not found". If I plug the dongle then I get error EOBD2.exe crash and "FGT2xx.dll not found". So I gues that dongle is working properly. And the funy thig is that under Win 7 ewrithing works OK.

I have sw activation, got 2 activations from seller 1 x desktop & 1 for laptop. I made a read of FTDI first, once I did activation and code accepted sw plays error and didn't start, after that write back original bin and it opens, but if I try it on desktop have to make same procedure, mine seems that works good only at one pc or laptop at a time. reading on dll line seems that sw writes something on the FTDI, I compared bins after making it work and are not the same

I dont think is problem with FTDI dump. If the dump was wrong It would not work on Win 7 eather.

yes but if you read what I wrote I said if I work with it on laptop is all ok but FTDI change from original that comes from, and it does not work anymore when I put on desktop to work at home, need to activate and flash again, Im not saing that you have to do the same maybe I have other problems but for me it works this way, and I use the same drivers from the FGTech drivers folder for both pc

updates kill devices without any crack and for what I know for now there isn't one, uninstall sw and everything related and try with " old " software maybe you are lucky !

Honestly, is there anyone in here, that bought a china clone and until today has no problem at all with ecus?
I am refering to people that have not tweaked the pcb in any way (or the ftdi eeprom).
Answer with details please, hw type, soft version and place of purchase... Just want to make clear that some clones never meant to work ok in the first place, and many people have problems and loose money...A good way to find which of these clones actually work on a single car or truck.

You better try the iveco before your return period is up. I had that one and it didn't work on Iveco or anything else I tried it on. I'd like to know how it works for you.

I'm searching FG clone from china, my suplayer dont have good clone so I was searchin on other pages then I found this photo cccccc :D

usbfix didn't work for me, after activation I connect tool to 12V power, write old ftdi file and disconnect from usb, connect again and software opens, this is the only way I can make it work. chinese guy tried to help with teamview but he said the program cant work on that laptop and with installed MB Star software (not VMWare), well it's not true, it is working, and laptop is Compaq Mini with 1Gb ram 1.6 Gh cpu

Only BDM is still not working. Someone told me to change bdm-port resistors with 10 Ohm (instead of 100 Ohm), but here You say that there is a usbfix for it?!

Ive been watching this post for a while and it seems that up to around page 60 the thread is quite usefull. From then on it seems to be full of wannabe home remappers asking how to get their $180 chinese galleto working as good as brand new CMD with all protocols.. Guys, 1.please use search button prior posting a question. Try investigating stuff on your own, and then bring detailed qestions to get a decent answer. So many, 'which interface to buy, where do I buy it' type posts. Answer? Buy them all and find out yourself.How do you think those who can answer these questions do it? Sorry, but reading the latest part of the thread is just mind boggling, clogged up woth same.stuff.over and over again. 2.those who get somewhere woth their research, please come back and share. This is how it works here.

As for the tool itself, my personal opinion is that it is a cracking tool, but nit without certain drawbacks amd it depends where you purchae it and whether you have your head screwed on to be abke to use it.Sorry, but those who say.their kit is amazing and works just fine as the ori tool and its very,easy, but and they actually got their kit from china for price of two VAS-PC dongles and used on3 cars, (theirs, daddys one and a friend one probably) are fooling others into buying more crap. I use a nice euro clone and bottom line is that even euro sellers dont really know what they sell.you need to know how to,use the tool properly.

Apart from the italian to english teanslation being of poor quality to say the list (even if you do crack what the pop up messages actually mean, half of the time they are incorrect anyway) you need to think hard in some cases to get anywhere. Kess shines through here, and big time. Also adaptor looms vary between the sellers which sometimes mean you are spending even more time on a job. Different amount of power cables, big terminals but lack of small ones rtc. Even with a euro clone you need to get yourself a few bits and bobs to make it a reasonably nice set.

Conclusion? using the galletto on some applications can get a bit tricky, so whats the point of getting a cheap copy, with missing or incorrect wiring/components, with firmware that does not let the software to start up etc that you need to spend ages on just to get to the point that you think It works..? Grab an euro tool, let our boys earn a bit (dont worry, they will come up with something new for us.soon enough) get yourself a few little adaptors made up, keep in touch with the seller, find as many pdfs that come with the tool and then you are kinda there, ready to use the tool, which will end up being much,more reliable.

Now, if you get an euro tool you stand a chance of getting some info from your seller, bit again even they dont know much about them. Yes, they copied them to,a nice level, but galletto itself has got issues,

Theres is a lot of complain, but what I think is... even original tools can do some mess... I had two or three Multec ECU bricked with original KessV1..

KessV1 can?t recover one (can ID, but can?t write)... tried with galleto 1260 and nothing, tried with MPPS and nothing, tried with old KWP plus and id conected and start too write, but gave me an error... tried again with KessV1 and works !!! now can be read and write with any tool, but not MPPS (just read, can?t write..says ECU ID not found even if I read the file with MPPS)

So..the moral of history is... you shall have more than one tool to cover a car...if one doen?t work, other do...


yesterday had an gol turbo (same M3.8.3 ECU of Golf/A3 150cv) made hundreds of it with MPPS, couldn?t do by OBD...guess it have an bug even it comunicates with VAG...

Can?t blame MPPS...but if was my first car I could think it was a shit "never work clone" instead of the true

Tested China Clone V51 (it's v.48 :)) from ecutool.com with 3 leds, EU Bosnia clone v.48 and original device v.48, checksum made ok in OBD and Boot modes! :)

Only Kia-Hyundai Me(G)17 don't want to calculate in Boot Mode. Original after November 2011 can, but clones SW version seems to be older.

Also, Land Rover 4.4 EDC17 CP11 4.4 TDI V8 TC1796 Internal Flash read ok, but don't write at all :(


Other Mercedes, VAG, PSA, BMW, Volvo, Ford, Jaguar are ok!

Kia-Hyundai EDC17 ok!

Reprogramming the eeprom in FTDI solved the problem

why would you want to update? for your pcr 2.1. ecu?
from one unstable version to a more unstable version?

Forget that ecu with your tool... even IF there would be an upgrade. It must be so hacked that it can never work with a full car list. and be so screwed up that it can not be stable.

OLD style galletto (not the v2012 version) will never get higher than 48 (original v49 is anti clone update no extra on the driver list compared to v48)
All other V50 to V54 are updates for the NEW hardware. The so called fgtech v2012.

If you want to realy do this ecu. The original FGtech (4180) euro is your best/cheapest option.


Fg tech have reduction action now. If you send an old ORIGINAL tool (not need to be a galletto, may be kess, powergate, optican, mpps, etc...) you get FGtech v2012 at better price.

kess, optican, byteshooter, magpro, cmd, all cost much more. (for same driver list)

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
It had bad connection at usb port with pcb in the interface!!!!

I fount and something else because i try to fix my problem from yesterday and i try different solutions .This software is v50 with 11,3 volt with dongle . I discovered that if i changed EOBD2 with fgt2xx.dll from my version to EOBD2+fgt2xx.dll from version v51 then dongle doesn t work and soft needs registration code . Also the same happen if i copy the fgt2xx.dll from version v51 and paste in my v50. If i will run EOBD2 program ask for registration code .
Also can someone tell me if my version v50 for PSA MED 17,4 and MEV 17.4 TRICORE 1796 read and write flash + eeprom because the eeprom is locked and it needs unlock module .

Hi, this morning i tried to read an EDC7C1 of an Iveco Eurocargo 210 hp, but the tool doesn't work... I test the communication with Bosch KTS and it worked, but Fgtech2 not.
When i click on "ecu data" after 10/15 seconds an error "send wake" appears on the sw.

Contact your supplier for software update. But as long as firmware is the same, no new ecus will be supported, just minor bug fix to already supported ecus, maybe your issue will be cures with new software.

Jtag not exsistin on clone vesion for now, only in New Original HW V53 or V51 upgraded for what I know,
in bdm what is the error it gives to you, what ecu? can it read or only not write ?

Last reply china has been the galletto and they send to try it to send another if it does not work... but as with some ecu if it works is that I am not going to get anything, only losing money shipments.

Which one works better on trucks? I see that the portoguese is 1:1 as the original.
Also i see that portoguese pcb is not the same as v48 china clone with 3 leds. It is similar but not the same.
But the bosnian is the same with v51 china clones.
Is any of these 2 prooven to be better?

Thinking logically, i have no doubt that there is nothing called EU Version and Chinese Version. In real life, one guy cracks the SW and Hardware, next step he sells the info to the Chinese where they start their engines and cover the market with their cloned interfaces, but at any rate, there is no difference at all between the EU and Chinese boards, maybe the color of the coating :D

FYI just tested edc16 on bench over kline r/w super a1.
Now doing the bdm same ecu...
For bdm I've used 2 different power supplies, one 12v for ecu (separate power mpc) and one form psu 14v to fg-tech.
PSU14v galleto say 12.2, so we should start with playing with resistors (seen on mpps before). :roflmao:

Heh. That's the problem. It's very hard to remove it without damaging elements and pcb. In the end, why would end user do that?! If something don't work, please contact seller. Or someone want to throw away several hundreds euros just for fun...

I doubt it ... if you can not do EDC16 who dares with sid305???

I bought the latest version thinking it was bad the first and LED was already solved the problem of clone and I have not been able to reprogram or a car with galletto v2 ..

Got my EU clone. So far everything I tried, works. :D Read/write iveco edc7uc31 k-line, read Iveco edc7 k-line, read/write john deere level 16 can-line, bdm edc7uc31.
I might go to work tomorrow just to test more John Deeres and maybe Iveco ms6.2.

OBD is the 16 pin diagnostic connmector...in that 16 pin is the k line and can ....so just check and see if this function work...try a older edc15..this should be on k line---then try and try something newer...newer edc16 vw on can

bdm works ok on edc16u1 VAG ecu and edc16u31 BMW
R/W but it seems it doesn work on EDC15V VAG via OBD.
it begins to make ecu data but stops at 28-30%...
on my pcb i have all the bdm resitor as elchip said 10ohm, but near the 2 k-line drivers i have all the resitors 1k...is this a problem...any idea why k line doesnt work...anyway further tests will be made!

This 3 LEDs interface is a monkey unit, I don't know how the others unit works, but this one is unpredictable...
