    DM500 Blackbox 888

    Hi

i'm from SG and i recently bought a blackbox 888. based on what i read, it's actually a DM500c right?

it has recently stopped working for no reason and i'm wondering whether i need to flash it to get it to work again.

it just isnt responding to the remote or the standby button. Any kind soul can help? or guide me along? i cant seem to find the s***hub keys as well..

i'm sorry but i'm really new to this. Hope i can get some help.

    thanks!

If you are having outdated key, your box should still be responding to remote (i.e: channel switch) but you only get to see FTA channel or black screen on paid channels.

If you box is not responding at all, try to reboot by power off & on again. If still not responding, RMA with your supplier, hardware issued.

What about pressing the standby button (next to IR receiver) on the box? Does it turn red?

If it does not, guess no one here can help as this is hardware issue.

Since you just got the box, believe there should be some form of warranty.

Just checking, this box is ordered online & from which supplier?

You will also need a null modem cable in order to reflash using dreamup along with lan cable.

Do not think you can flash your box using telnet method since your box hang.

Thanks. Hmmm...current now I'm having difficult in linking the box and the pc using a cross ethernet cable. Don't know is it ip address issue or the user login issue? Anyway I'm using DCC 2.95 to link up.

Any advise of linking it up? Thks.
