Guide: How to use FlashFXP to FTP to your Dreambox

I am able to connect to my dreambox IP but couldnt log in after i keyed in "root" as the user name and "dreambox" as the password. Can anyone advise?

Big thanks to you thommo guest,am james12 i try your guide on how to flashfxp on dreambox500s,is good. And i connected flashfxp to my dreambox and it was connected to my dreambox ip address,but later it failed and the connection was losted, i try it several times,it keep on doing the samething.
Please could you help me out.i will be glad to receive your response. Thanks

Can someone help on how to connect a dreambox to pc aand to internet.Pls i need a full explanation.Am just new in this business of dreambox installation.Av got some idea but not expert in the installation.

Great tutorial but I am having the same error as many others. I am able to see the contents of dreambox with my browser (Chrome) but am unable to connect using any FTP client.

Seems like the password is not standard

Msg from Filezilla:

Both my PC and Dreambox connect to router. Anyone knows how else (ID/password) to connect?

Dear bros, been reading the guides. Very helpful indeed. However, I realize that all the instruction are for PC user. What about mac user? Is the software flashfxp the same? Or is there one for mac somewhere?

hi i got problem as i have a fixed ip address, i can not connect to dream box via control center. Does the DB 800hd se work with Static Ip address if so how do i get the connection??
P.s the dreambox is connected to the router via WLAN, but fails at network test on ip address confirm??

i'm new here, thx & appreciate for the guide. but juz one qns as i've been reading around from other threads. before flashing the box i need to backup the "keys" is the keys refer to the files in "var/keys" as stated in this guide?

All,
I am facing an issue, I was doing an update on my box and guess doing it wrong. So my box was not reacting at all.
I had to reinstall a new image plus bouquet for Sgp.
Issue now is that I do not have the required SCCE and keys for it.
I see all the channels in the list, but all locked.
Any advise where I can download it?
