How to JTAG a DM500

my dm 500 is a test box but it wont work on lan i think my chip is not working annymore i can flas wat i want but nothing helps

I have jtagged my 500s with dos and windows several times but with dreamup i get
nothing only bright red light and dim green light.
Suggestions?

you have the wrong bootloader or not te right tuner version

A couple of things to check, have you had a previous succesfull connection with dreamup before with your present Null Modem Cable?
Also have you tried different versions of dreamup and unticked the network box?

I have two questions about jtag procedure.

1. Whant kind of cable i need to use? IDE ATA-33 or UDP cat 5e(LAN) or else..
2. I read on russian forum that it is possible to jtag without microscheme and resistors. IS THAT TRUE?

None of those cables you mention, I think you will be struggling but what you need is a Jtag cable. Read the last link, (Post#377) I keep posting it, is anybody ever reading it???????

Downloaded that file, but still i dont have a clue what kind of signal cable to use. I think to go to the radio-market and tell them what i am going to do with it and thay will recommend...
Lots of people say that thay jtaged they boxes "with cable with resistors" - they omitted that they use microschem? or they really used only cable with resistors?

You have not read it properly, read the ((((Intructions.txt)))) it tells you how to make it yourself 25 pin port plug 5 resistors and 6 short lengths of wire.
