Hello everyone from SG Be careful when using USB to record!

Recently had some problem with my box trying to record to USB flash disk. Basically the picture froze and when I restarted the box, it wouldn't boot with the flash disk inserted.

So... pulled out the flash disk and when I booted the box again- I found that my box was broadcasting black on most of the channels.

I went into setup and found that all the ccam info was missing.

Itchy fingers me tried re-flashing via web browser with Open Pli 2.1-dm800-SSL-84b.nfi but only backed up this folder /usr/keys

But now ALL my HD channels are missing! Yikes.

Any bros care to help me out? I'd really appreciate any help. I'm using a clone DM800HD box

block upgrade means for a while only or no more HD channels..?

Hi fragoot,
i had this problem before, i was using a portable hardrive. issue was the box's usb power is not enough to for the portable harddisk. what i did was look for a dual end usb cable (from an old HDD casing) one is for power (connected to my tv's usb power) and the other one to the cable box. it worked for me. try it.

Finally dead.. Oh well.. perhaps someday a easy solution will surface.. RIP
