New Images for SG use only

You need DFlash to be install as your plug-ins onto the other box to backup an image of it's current overall configuration which will include the magic files into. Which you would then FTP over the file with *.nfi which will then upload as shown as your own images which you had it uploaded earlier and it will upgrade your faulty image with the clone copies. Of cos that makes your job easier with the information intact. Hope that helps. DO TAKE NOTE TO MOUNT A USB THUMBDRIVE TO PERFORM IMAGE BACKUP else your the other box might crashed due to space constraints. Cheers

Thanks. just to check if I have another set of working dm800hdse that was bought from the same supplier. is it possible that I do a backup of files from that working box and copy all the files to a thumbdrive and copy to my box to do a flashing? If it is possible, what are the files that I need to transfer over to my problem box in order for it to work? Please advise. thanks.

I have managed to boot up my dm800hdse after flashing the image. As asual, it was without the magic keys so o ly fta channels are available. Can you advise how can I get the necessary files and magic keys again for my set to work well. Thanks.

Server or URL : 192.168.0.XX( the number shown on my dreambox as of now )
Port 21
User Name : root
Password : dreambox
RemotePath : left blank
Proxy Server : (defaut)

I keep getting this message :

I asked the seller and is clueless about the software user/password except selling the units.
if it is an issue of a different password, can I reset it and retry the FTP

Can you try it on another FTP software probably FileZilla or CoffeeFTP just to confirm not getting in to the box! Cos from what I see here is Read / Login error which is kind of odd. Can you ping to the box!

FTP service might not be loaded. Use your PC web browser with display iP address. See if you can get the boot menu and load the images from there.

usually is.. find a supplier who setbox has image for SG pre-installed..
