New Images for SG use only

As advice by all the experts here is to backup your essential image and keys+ssce, how do we do these? Can I use a normal FTP software to save the keys/ssce (I.e magic files). Many thanks.

U can use any ftp program of yr choice or dcc.

I flashed my dm 800hd with the image on pg3 thread 39 - SG-Open Pli 2.1-dm800-(10012013)-SSL-84b.nfi and I can watch all channels except for channel 555 and 558.
I then reflashed with another image - SG-Newnigma V3.3.2-dm800-SSL-84b.nfi from the same thread 39 and the same problem exist, i.e. cannot view ch555 and ch558. Any idea why this happens? Thanks!

When u transfer yr keys, did u overwrite the mg_cfg?

For dm500c, u can use dreamup or telnet method.

Hi all, wondering if anyone could assist.

I have been given a BlackBox 500 by my friend, and for some reason, I believe the supplier who sold it to him had not installed the keys. To make things worse, the PIN was changed and there was no way for me to do anything other than watch the free-to-air channels.

Anyway long story short, I have figured out how to upgrade the image (after killing it in a bad flash, getting a null modem cable to flash a new image, etc.), but apparently I am still unable to watch the locked channels.

I just made things worse (somehow) by downloading and upgrading the image via Ethernet to my router, but now automatic transponder scan fails to find anything.

Would anyone be able to provide a solution?
1. I believe I would need to put in a SGSH image, so does anyone have anything to recommend?
2. From reading some of the threads, I believe I would need something regarding keys and scce (not very sure, as I am very new to this). How may I go about with this?

Yes, if u overwrite it u need to use mgcamd 1.31 to view those 2 channels.

I just flash SG-Open Pli 2.1-Cnigma2.nfi for DM800se, the channels are playing fine, but when I stream via openwebif the box will freeze after watching some time, I need to power off and on to restart the box in order for it to work again, do you have any ideas for this ?

So far i have not encounter this type of problem. Why don't u try out with other images to identify whether it is an image problem or not. Before u flash another image, please backup yr keys and roms.

Don't get confused know your box model 1st & program to do this & that, i suggest u read more on sticky thread in RED.
When reading do try to understand if u can't understand there's nothing we can do unless someone is willing to spoonfeed u.
Remember this is a process of learning we all here start from scratch till it becomes a hobby to me personally.

I have read the sticky thread in red and this is what i understand so far.

My box model is DM800 HD SE.

First i need to backup essential image and keys+ssce using dreamup? i read in another thread i can just mount my usb behind the box and go to TS panel? but i don't understand what is TS panel and how to access?

then i just install FileZilla (FTP software) to save the keys/ssce? Any guide to show how to save it using ftp software?

Just basic stuff use for E2 or E1 box
DCC to backup keys/scce
Dreambox edit to backup your channel list,
as for the whole image use TS panel its Tuniasat Panel short for E2 & telnet putty for E1.
Google for more info it will direct to here in DK or any other forum do widen your mind for all the useful info.
