How did u lost yr keys? Did u do a factory reset?

hi all, seeking advice here.

i have a better understanding of my dm500 after playing around with the images.

regarding extracting of the keys both var/keys and var/scce:

my current box had its FTP password changed, i flashed the dk v1.1 image using null cable modem without flash erase.

managed to connect via FTP and extracted both var/keys and var/scce. -> does it change the keys with my flashing?

tried both dk v1.1 and openPLi image.

FTP'd my keys and scce into my dm500c.

FTP the broquet list for SGSH via dreamboxedit

tried auto transponder scan.

i got the SH channel lists but i can only view the FTA channels.

any one can advise on where i did wrong?

DK = 'Demand Key' forum.

When new box comes, do nothing, no backup,
but when problem comes, use DK, sure to get an answer.
After that disappeared till the nxt fiasco, then come back to 'Demand Key'.

If keep supplying keys and scce, whose gonna develop new FW?
I mite as well juz wait some Guru's new FW and milk the fruits.

It easier to flash with the sg configured image for dm500c and later ftp yr key files back rather to start from scratch.

updates:
i tried again.
flash openPLi 0606 image found in the downloads section.
ftp the keys in
do a auto transponder scan
restarted the box

managed to get all channels
