U Reflash yr box with sg configured image and then transfer the keys and scce over and u can watch sh channels again.

HELP!! Fellow SENIORS and MASTERS!! I am a noob here! After i have download the image provided by hockheng and flash it using FTP and telnet i can boot up my dreambox but only FTA channels are available!! I then realised i missed out the step of scce and keys!! I only got the box 1 day ago, trying to get more st*rh*b channels... i am using DM 500C...could any kind souls please help me?? );

hi all, wanted to flash my dm500c that is dead. bought the usb to rs232 adapter and null modem cable from ebay but it's still now working. dreamup gets stuck at the 'switch on dreambox' part but even after i switch it on, it doesn't progress from there. can anyone point to me a workable adapter that you have bought online? many thanks.

I think the only adapter that works is the ATEN brand. U can get it from Sim Lim Square for 20 plus dollars.

I am encountering the same problem with the FTP connection. Can't seems to connect to my DM800HD via FTP.
Username; root
PW: dreambox
Port: 21
So cannot FTP the plugin into my box....
Go to Tools 2 to reset the password to blank...
Still not cannot connect to the dreamedit...
Any advise?

Which windows os are u using? Windows 7 and 8 by default telnet function is disabled and u need to enabled it before u can use the function.

Guys, which image file is the latest for 800HD PVR?
Basically, i just back up the key & scce from my box.
Then just flash the nfi, after then ftp back the key & scce and i'm done?

Which package u update? Not advisable to do software updates on clone boxes.
