How to get BPL channels for HDC 888e

I thought it would be good to share here how I manage to get all the new channels here since I've got PM asking me on how I do it.
1) Make sure you have the latest FW ( file should be FY.AP), not those on pg 7 here.
2) select Menu/ Channel search / Manual search.
3) At Frequency(MHZ) select 128 / 136 / 149 (do one frequency at a time) and Symbol at 6090
4) Before you press ok to search,WAIT for the Quality bar below for signal strength first. If no signal shown, pressing ok will not get you any new channel. (It may take around 5-30 sec before you see the Quality bar showing signal and it may take a few try before you get it.)


Channel 101 to 106 will be shown and 107/108 will be shown as unknownChl
Remember all the new channels will be situated at the back and will not be in correct order. I just save them as FAV for easy access. Hope it helps.

I really need some help here.... I have FYHD 800c-ii and FYHD 800c . both boxes, does anyone know how to search the channels so that I can watch the BPL ? I tried searching for the frequency to search but to no avail, I cant find any information. as for the firmware.. I can only find the newer versions of the box.. anyone know where can I find the firmwares for the 2 versions of boxes I have ? or do anyone know how to watch the BPL using this 2 boxes.. please guide me along.. thanks a lot

theres a big difference between FYHD 800c -iii and ii I guess.... if its about upgrading the firmware, I am told that I should not try to upgrade a different model firmware

ok dun try f/w upgrade. have u tried the NIT search for channels? channels may not be in running order. this is assuming your sugnal to yr home is good i.e >85%

yea I tried the NIT search , but do u have the frequency, the kbs and the qam information for me to search ? my signal is 73% ... I used to be able to see the MIO channels but now I cant search for them anymore

Bro, you seems very confident that your box can watch MIO
Then your box is the best super box because I have never heard of any box able to get MIO content yet

I have got the problem of not being able to boot up as well, and the thing is , there is just a black screen when the box is turned on, the box is stuck at boot.

I read through this thread, and tried updating the s/w, but without no display popping up, seems no use.

Kindly enlighten me, if a hardware change is required, which are the components to replace.
*If it has already been discussed, kindly excuse my oversight, do guide me along.

Hi, same for me here! I got the same issue after i do a update? i think from this link Lastest Firmware for MVHD/FYHD/TNHD white and black box. The screen just remained blank. Is there anyway i can fix this? I am not able to watch any HD Chl =( My model is HDC-800-e btw. Any kind soul know how to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Is there possibility for FYHD to scan for VOD channels? Sometimes they show some nice Hokkien Channels. LOL~

May I know is it possible? What Freq is that?

Not sure about this crappy FY box but vid channels does work on dreambox but beyond the selection. You see what the official subscriber (around your area) see.
