lloyd70 I had same problem, newbie myself - just check you got the right com port - when you go to device manager - I had to change from COM3 to COM4 for the serial cable...

upload complete,waiting for acknowledge...

Hello folks,

I am a new newbie to this forum, pardon my ignorance here.
I'm thinking of DIY a null modem cable to flash my DM88 box.
Could anyone tell me which is best for linking the Box to PC. A null modem cable with partial handshaking or A null modem with full handshaking ?
Is there a image for this Box ?

I read all the post in this tread and I see a lot of people have the same prob: Whwn start Dreamup after plugin the power nothing hapens. The only choice is "disconnect".

I flashed the DM500S once and everything was OK, but now on the same box, same USB2RS232, same cables I have the above problem?

Any help?
