No some other people I know have thier boxes working OK no problems, just mine will not work,

do you have to chmod the emu on dream to 755? right click/properties and change,cant help much on that box sorry

in flash xp the files you transfered across,on box side right click them,ok on properties and set to 755,,i believe thats how you do it...if not other peeps can help you more

as your new here you may not have heard about nagra3 (this is a new encryption method now being used on cable tv in the uk and ireland ) you first need to read the threads relating to nagra3 and find out if your area has changed over to nagra3 . if your area has changed over there is no image that will open the channels as no one has has come up with a fix . if your in the uk you should read upon the kryptview A750 and the i connector (you can also buy the new kryptview A780 ,no need for the i connector with this box as it has a lan port ) if your in ireland on ntl have a look at the starview 6 .

Thanks Piopat. Thank you very much for your reply. I will do some reading on the Nagra3 and if I fell in the region where this is already in place then bad luck but hope someone will come up with an image to crack this soon!
By the way, I have tried to use a null modem cable (Serial Null Modem 9-Pin Female to 9-Pin Female : Null Modem Cables : Maplin) on a pc with xp, couldn't connect to the box. Then I tried a usb to serial converter on a pc with vista (hopefully with the correct driver) and still no luck. I also have tried several versions of dreamup. Could it be a problem with the box itself?

Dream-up

The Dream-up just stopped working here. I connecte my Dreambox 500 S to my PC, using a null modem 232, it says it's ok , but when I plug the decoder to the power nothing else happens. It doesn't go to flash and the other options it used to go. So, I can't put another image.

I had here windows XP pach 2, but I made an upgrade to XP pach 3.

Can anybody help me, please?
