Guide: Flashing a Dreambox with Dreamup

i got DreamBox from my friend and its got Gemini installed and Tuxbox command is protected, cant reset password or FTP i am trying to flash to different image, tried Dreamup but get error when uploading image file its only upload 2% any advice, cant user flashwizard as do not have password,

the aborted by user error message suggests to me that you are using the wrong version of dreamup for your box ,you need an older version .i attached an older version of dreamup to my post a few pages back and i also uploaded it to the download section. if your having difficulty finding it let me know and ill attach it again.

hello mate im hopeing you could advise me i got a dm500s and a darkstar2 image and a good cline and reliable server but on sat day some times i have to strem footbal on the computer as sk- dont show my team and its verry glithy herd i could get a moterisd dish and turn to 13 degrees east but i dont want 2 fu-ck my 28.2 set up im using a sky dish d is that big enough and will i need another image using cccam sticky 213 do i set dish to 13 d east and do a scan and try get a cline for that provider any help or link to a guide or any info atall thank you

Please can someone give me some advice. I have bought a dm 600 pvr (brand new - genuine ?179.
I am currently cut off from virgin ,tried to connect but didnt work. Does the box have what it needs or do i need to download something onto it ? Is it because i am cut off ? Is it plug and play like it says ? Please can someone help me !

i would leave the sky mini dish connected to the sky box as its a bit small at 60 cm (even if you just use it for the free to air channels on 28 east or maybe use it for an upstairs room) and get a motorized dish and hook it up to your dm500 (you will still get all the pay sky stuff on the dm500 )but also you should get all the available football on the other sats.

if you had your own vigin card and some experience you could set up your own server (however this is not a topic allowed on dk ,google is your friend ) the kryptview a780 with the firmware added and connected to your router will get you what you want .or the kryptview a750 with iconnecter or starview 6 will also work in much the same way.

I have the same problerm as described above. Trying to flash dm500 with dreamup 1.3.3.6 and getting the message "Aborted by user exiting"

been looking for info on this site and starting to get there, looking to start with a few tutorials that have been generously posted but can't access them till i do 5 posts i understand, new to this and finding it very confusing. have a dreambox 500c and just want to know if it's possible to do anything with it except to use it as another doorstop like my eurovox.

you could use it as a server for a sly card to go in, thats the most use you'll get out of it mate!

you could use it as a server if you have a cable card also (if you know how to do it ,but if you have little experience you will find it difficult) but discussion of these topics are not allowed .google is your friend mate .by the way if your using a dm500c as a satellite server (which will work) you wont be able to view the channels on that box.
