      IP: 10.0.0.2
      DHCP: Tick
      Netmask: 255.255.255.0
      Type: LAN
      Nameserver: 10.0.0.1
      Gateway: 10.0.0.1

Save settings, re-start box to be sure.

On your puter, you need to go to Network Connections (Start >> Control Panel >> Network Connections)

You will see a LAN icon, right click on this an click properties.

Look at centre box “This connection uses the following items:”

You may have to scroll down but your looking for ‘Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)’

Highlight that, then click properties on the right hand side.

A new box will appear, click on ‘Use the following IP address:’ check box.

Now type 10.0.0.2 for the IP, 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask and 10.0.0.1 for the default gateway.
Ofcourse, you will need to change the IP in your FTP software to reflect your above changes.

Lemme know how it goes pal.

You need to save settings. Blue I think? By all means, try without reset. It should store them though....

Yeah, try without re-boot, it can't hurt.

Once you save your settings and exit the screen, if you re-enter, are they all now 10.0.0.2 etc?

                    Try unchecking DHCP.

Try pinging 10.0.0.2 from your PC once you've saved setitngs.

Try without re-boot. I.e. change the settings on your Dreambox, exit menu, re-enter menu and see if it's stayed.

You need DHCP unchecked. you want a static ip address.

                            Try...

                            Dreambox
                            ip - 192.168.0.24 DHCP unticked
                            submask - 255.255.255.0

                            PC
                            ip - 192.168.0.20
                            submask - 255.255.255.0

                            then from PC ping 192.168.0.24

Thats because DHCP was ticked. It overwrites any settings you enter manually.
