Try the 10.0.0.1 from DHCP unchecked, it will work I guarantee. Make sure you change your setting on the PC as well as detailed above...

      Yes!

If your using Jamesredfern's settings though, make sure you use the same on the Dreambox and the PC. The settings I set out earlier though are entirely adequate if you already inputted them.

          FTP should therefore be:

          10.0.0.2
          Port: 21
          User: root
          Password: dreambox

Have you changed the setting on your TCP/IP to correlate the DB?
Last edited by boothuk; 15 May, 2009, 15:04. Reason: IP should be 10.0.0.2 not 10.0.0.1 as originally posted.

Ok one last time, make sure your settings are as follows:

              Dreambox

              IP Address: 10.0.0.2
              DHCP: Untick
              Subnet: 255.255.255.0
              Type: LAN
              Nameserver: 10.0.0.1
              Gateway: 10.0.0.1

Your PC should be set as below...

Is your port set as 80 on the DB?

Other than that, don't have a clue mate, if it's pinging 10.0.0.2 from your computer, they can connect. This issue must be with your FTP client.

                  ftp://10.0.0.2
                  Username: root
                  Password: dreambox

You can use Window's explorer, you don't need an FTP program. Type that "ftp://10.0.0.2" in the address bar instead of C:/Documents and blah blah blah...

One last thing to try, on your puter, change the IP address to 10.0.0.1 instead of 10.0.0.2. Maybe thats the issue.

The ip adresses on the pc and dream box must be different, but in the same range. If they are identical it will not work.

Yep, hopefully he followed that. The IP on his Dreambox should be 10.0.0.2, the IP on his PC should be 10.0.0.1. It's my bad for putting the wrong IP in that pic above...

                        FTP should point to 10.0.0.2.

Have you checked the firewall options to see if flashfxp is exempt?
