Well guys after a head-scratching period I got it all up and running with the help of a friend and now have all the Swiss premium cable channels I can get. However I have problems getting a full EPG for the stuff... it only ever displays the next two hours as opposed to a full list etc. Are there any plug-ins that help with EPG's in countries other than the UK?

Definitely recommend the Netgear ReadyNAS. I stream everything off the device. Pop some Western Digital enterprise class hard drives and the thing will run for years.

Hi cunny, so how u fix it? now all the channels with snr abt 50% ( including FTA ), and keep prompted the mgs "tune failed" . very sad......don't know how to go abt it.

Very common problem nowadays. The tuner can be plug out so for me I send the tuner module back to my supplier for replacement. Cheers.

thanks for sharing pals, As it was my friend who help me to buy it from china, and it is almost imposible to contact the supplier.

beside the posibility of the mentioned hardware problem, i also thinking of trying to flash other new image, is it advisible ? that it could overcome the tune failed problem?

Thank you Arraysys for your suggestion, are u from Sinxxpore? coz, if not, it would be as difficult as i go to china. anyway i will consider your advise if still cant solve this problem.

meanwhile im trying to locate the supplier for replacement, ready not feeling good with this problem as i used it less than an hour. sigh......

managed to get the supplier fr china, they kept saying that it not the tunner fault, and ask me to do a scaning, and realised the provider S..H is not in the sevice list .

so pal , how to go abt it? appreciate any help!!!!

What software is running in the box?
Are you able to scan for services(channel from the cable)?

Or else you can try the services and bouquets that I posted at http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums.../index216.html

If it still show 'Tune Failed' then it is quiet confirm that the tuner is faulty.

Firstly what software you use the your dm800hd?
To my experience, when you see 'Check tuner configuration' that mean there is no tuner installed.
