Hypercam N2 Fix How To

I found that Hypercam in PLI did not autostart when the following was done.

exe hypercam_1.06
blank file for pli hypercam_1.06

Image said it was running (top of screen) but linux top did not show it running

Fix for me was to rename exe to just hypercam and blank file to same. Then reselect from Cam menu. Now it starts with the box

Does linux not like"_" or did I miss something.

Like I said in my post

Create an empty file with the same name as the Soft Cam, for example "hypercam".

I think if you write "1.06" in the file it would work but it's just easy naming it "hypercam"

Yes but you might have to start the cam manual.

if you have tuxbox commander goto var/bin highlight the file press 1 change the boxes to green save & exit.

does this fix work for anyone with Chorus in ireland.

I am using Digital Kaos v1.1 image I uploaded the 3 files for the irish fix to /var/bin hypercam.cfg, hypercam.keys and kypercan_1.06. I chmod the files to 755. If I try to start ./hypercam_1.06 I ger error "bus error" not sure why this happens ???

I also tried holding down info button on the remote of the 500c until I get EMU manager, in there I selected Evoca enulation is running

I then scan for Choris channels it finds 100+. I go to RTE I can view it but no other encrypted channels. I also rebooted

NTL are using NAGRA 2 ;this needs N2 IRL fix
CHORUS are still on NAGRA 1 [cable& terrestrial]
If your on CHORUS cable the nov/dec 08 fix will do
On dk 1.1 use blue button to turn on Mgcam
I don't know what fix is needed for terrestrial but some
member in your area could advise you

wat box do u have
are u on cable or terrestrial
and have u ftp'd the fix
give a brief rundown on wat u have done so far
and u will be sorted soon

ive done everytin that despsan said in his first post but i still have to restart cam manually after powering the box down, i have a 500C and using DK1.1,

i cannot find the cam setup option to set hypercam as the default cam......

I installed the hypercam fix on my 500t Chxxus mmds (Dk1.1 image)because MGM Movies was not clearing and it worked perfectly , but does anyone know how to make this my default cam as i have to start it manually through Tuxbox Commander anytime I power down?
