Cable for this rs232 port is not ethernet cable.

It is a serial cable (9-pins) that look just a VGA cable (15-pins). This serial cable is also commonly called null-modem cable & can be found in SLT (Sim Lim Tower) easily.

SG region still use nagra 1 encryption so dreambox still works
over there. If you are willing to pay contribution dreambox works
also in UK. You need to keep your ear to the ground as people
involved do this as "community service" & don't really advertise

If you can locate a cable-server it's the same set-up, just enter
c-line in Ccam. Cable-servers are for obvious reasons lying low

Servers are understandably very shy as they have to base in
country of cable signal which they are sharing. Sat-servers can base operation outside country of operation, meaning the law in
2 diff sovereign states are required to legally shut down server.
Bit of advice; best not to use B/B connection of cable server for
server or client ends. If using alternative B/B provider make sure
cable co. & B/B co. are not owned by same umbrella company.
Am rushing away right now, but can send you set-up details for
c/s & contacts who can help you if you have any hic-ups setting up server. Will get back to you later or early Sunday. In the mean time you might PM me verification that you are not a MOLE or a RAT.

posts researching you is difficult. A reccomendation from senior

TBH i am not really interested in setting up C/S for external use.....just internally at home to share by legit VM sub between my media centres....not sure if u heard of them but SatKings.org can prob vouch for me...!

ok my server i gues would be a dreambox 500c in this case...
clients are going to be PC's with technotrend 1500/1501 cable cards....i might even use other dreamboxes or ITGate boxes as clients.
