hi, any idea how to do up a box for thailand-bangkok.. will be going there to work for sometime.. heard that its "True Vision" is the provider, hope to bring a done up dm-500 over, help is needed...

If your box other than DM500C,you cant.But if you want to try by all means it your box,brick dont blame. But if you insist than let us know the outcome goodluck m8.

FLASH ERROR

i have just got my clone DM500C from Anandasy, China - USD76 (incl freight) to Spore. They said it is a plug-n-play unit, no need any FLASH. i pluck in, cannot play.

Then they provide me with a img file, guide me to flash using DreamUp 1.3.3.1. I successfully FLASH it, but it display:

12:47:39 PM box type: DM500
12:47:48 PM Ping result: OK, box is alive and speaking to us ;-)
12:47:58 PM Found no valid jffs2 in image, flash-erase not supported
12:47:58 PM Uploading file to box...
1:01:17 PM calculating CRC32 on STB...
1:01:18 PM erasing flash...
1:01:54 PM box is flashing from its memory...
1:02:22 PM calculating CRC32 on STB's flash...
1:02:32 PM OK, flash-copy succeeded

Then, plug to my TV & use SR6875 (Auto-Scan), it display with message: All known transponders have been tried, but no lock was possible. Verify antenna / cable setup or try another satelite / network

Then, i restart using "Restart Enigma", i can see the channel skins like:
235 Ten Sport
300 Kids
But the remarks message:
No data for this service available

In short, see nothing, hear nothing, please help, all big brother out there, please, please,.... amateur here, 1st time always pain-pain-loh

fyi, the above problem happens when i use AV mode to view. If i use TV mode to view FTA channels (connection through the box on / off), the channels are crystal clear.

I have put my ip address into flashfxp but there is no keys there,where do i get the keys can enyone help.

It is supposed to be auto-track, thus, you must be using mobile broadband?
Try at command prompt, type config ip

You sure you plug in the cables correctly. I remember 2 friends of mine said no data available because they plug the atenna cable from the tv to the box. Atenna cable should be from main point to your dreambox. Pls check.

If everything is correct. then your image got problem. PM me if you still have problem, I give you my image.

i push the antenna cable into the DM500C label "ANT IN", is this the correct hole?

Couple of (probably super lame) questions,

1) Can I flash this to a clone dm500s?
2) Can I send the SGTFlipFlop channel listings to this with DreamboxEdit?

Hi just read your post and just as I was feeling more confident I'm lost again. I've got a dreambox 500c and flashed it with DK1.1 done a scan for my local area. I was hoping that would be that however I now realise their is a lot more to it. I want to watch sport and movies etc what else do I need to do. Thanks

Can any one confirm if the 500c can still be used on a UK cable net work. Most guides and image files are very old. Has all advances in image development stopped.
