as far as l know an image will work anyway in the uk u just need to change the scan freq and the emu sometimes ?

so even thou the image is flashed and ftp the files u want u still need to scan ??

have flashed box with image and now the box starts up dk image comes on then shuts down comes back on remote does nothing cant ftp box now what have i done wrong help

I can confirm that his DK image works 100% i am TW and scanned all of them and got all the channels. Thomas maybe you need a booster to improve your signal.

uglybloke1 when flashing your box have you erased image or not, if not re flash but this time when DreamUp promts you to erase image click on yes.

How do i get my bouquets from 1.5.6 image to this new one will that still work i have the folders there but no channels in it yet.

Deaf_Raiders If you have a copy of your services.tar.gz in your computer ftp that file in /tmp folder then use remote control 1-yellow that will take you in Kaos panel, highlight user featuter and press ok that will take you to advanced setting, highlight ServicesRestore and press ok

Followed the guide word for word

backed up channels - tpd'd to HDD

FTP'd new image (renamed backup)...

learned how to telnet and rebooted (COOL) never done that before

FTP'd - copied backed up channels back over

FTP'd keys and sccs

restarted channels

turned on emu

WORKING PERFECT - YOU ARE A STAR

im sorry but this has got way off topic, this thread is about the new FTA image and all i see now is discussion on how to get it working to get all the channels and nothing to do with the actual new image itself.


can we keep it on topic and about the image and not the extras "YOU" can add yourselfs please.


not saying you cant make a thread and ask about stuff or pm each other but its getting like the emu fix thread that went on and on and on.

just to add im referring to asking for complete img with key/roms/emus.........any other problems post away in here, channel lists, where to put said bad files ect is ok..., ive read the post and all the info is in it anyway re the bad stuff .

discussion/problems are allowed. if it was allowed to be posted as a full image it wouldnt have been released as a FTA.

Must say that this image is far better than the DW one i was using.

VISUALLY - it looks far better on the menues and now that i am getting used to using it, it is far better and easier to use.

recording TV for the first time - didnt manage to do that with the last image i had.

Very Stunning - love the the colours. Well done mate.

Is there any way to change the tuner driver on this image? i have got it on my box now but, the newer drivers don't work in my area for some reason, so i can only use the orginal driver. I have looked through most of the menu's but can find a menu to choose driver, maybe im just blind!

I have services from one of the Glasgow made for DW2.0 but i have no extension of tar.gz. but i have .xmland ones with no extension version would that work.

Does it still go in the same place var\config\emgima?
